QC Service not starting - Incorrect Database name/Server name in Config File (Error 1067)

Issue: QC service won't start due to either the incorrect database name or server name in the config file for the service.  The user will see the following error when attempting to start the service:

Steps to resolve:

1. Navigate to where the config file is located for the service. For this document we will be using the AdjudicateClaim service. This can be found in the following location:

C:\Program Files\Plexis Healthcare Systems Inc\Quantum Choice XXXX.xxxx.x\Services\ClaimAdjudication\AdjudicateClaim

2. Open the configuration (.config) file with a text editor. (NotePad++ is a good editor to use.)

3. Make sure that the Data Source and the Initial Catalog (there are two of each) are correctly filled out in the .config file. Below you will see the lines of the file that will need to be addressed.

4. Once you have made the modifications to the .config file, save the changes.

5. Open Services

6. Right-click on the service you just edited the config for and select Start.
