When attempting to start the Quantum Choice Adjudication Web API within IIS, users may receive the following error:
This website cannot be started. Another website may be using the same port.
Below are the steps to resolve this error.
1. Within IIS, user will see that both the Quantum Choice Adjudication Web Services and the Quantum Choice Adjudication Web API have the same binding (port number) listed in their details. This binding will need to be modified.
2. Highlight and right click the Quantum Choice Adjudication Web API listing in the Connections area of IIS and then choose Edit Bindings from the shortcut menu.
3. Click the Edit button from the Site Bindings menu.
4. Edit the Port number in the Edit Site Binding window. This new port should be a port that is not currently being used within your QC environment. For this example, port 8099 will be used.
5. Click OK and close this window.
6. Navigate to Windows Firewall and Advanced Security. Here you will need to modify your QC inbound rule with the port number you specified in the previous step. Find your QC inbound rule under the Inbound Rules. Right click your QC inbound rule and choose Properties.
7. Click on the Protocols and Ports tab of the QC inbound rule properties window.
8. Add your port number you specified for the Quantum Choice Adjudication Web API in Step 4. Once you have added your port number, click Apply and then click OK to save your changes.
9. Navigate back to IIS and highlight Quantum Choice Adjudication Web API under the Connections menu on the left side. Once you have Quantum Choice Adjudication Web API highlighted, click Start on the right side of IIS under the Manage Website portion of the Actions window.
Note: You should see the new port number listed for the Quantum Choice Adjudication Web API when it has been highlighted. In the screenshot below, the the new port number 8099 is showing:
