How to make a compressed SQL Database Backup

When providing Client Support with a copy of your database, please always compress the backup.

• Right click the database > Tasks > Back up…
• The default location for the backup is displayed, alternatively set the name and location that you want to save the .bak to.
• On the Backup Options tab under “Set backup compression”, select “Compress backup”.
• Click OK to generate the backup file.
